First of all SELAMAT HARI RAYA EIDUL ADHA to all muslims all over the world.

Eid literally means ‘returns’ and Adha means ’sacrifice’ or ‘qurban’. So Eidul Adha means ‘return to sacrifices’ or ‘remembrances of sacrifices’ of Prophet Ibrahim A.S and his son Prophet Ismail A.S.

Prophet Ibrahim A.S received wahyu from Allah to sacrifice his son Prophet Ismail A.S. This is to test both of thier faith toward Allah s.w.t and both accept this order wholeheartedly and with Taqwa. In the end Allah exchange the sacrifice with a desert goat or Qibash.

So, in the remembrance of this historic event, muslims perform the Ibadah of Qurban and the slaughtered meat will be given to the poor and needy.

All images captured at my Kariah of Surau Taman Melewar. As far as I can remembered this the biggest qurban we have with 7 cows… usually about 5 or less cows.

Went to KL Butterfly Park to test my Sigma 28-300mm DG Macro Lens and my newly SB600 Speedlight. I can handle the lens but the speedlight quite tricky… need a lot to learn.

After doing this, now I know its a lot harder to snap a butterfly than to snap a dragonfly. The dragonfly even pose for you in different angle whereas, the butterfly just flew away when you get near.

Great place to bring along your family. Ticket RM5 for adult and RM1 for children. Open from 9am to 6pm. Tripod not allowed and RM1 for bringing in Camera.

Just got me self a new lens, the Sigma DG 28-300mm Macro. These are my 1st attempts to shoot macro with this lens. The lens behave quite similar to Nikkor 70-300G Lens. This lens will replace my Nikkor lens due to its wide capabilities.

Use this lens mainly for sports, don’t know how its handle when shooting sports yet, hopefully as good or with its price tag should be better than the Nikkor 70-300G lens.

Has played myself in two competitions under AmBank, the 5 Man World Cup Asia intrigue me to go and watch how the pro plays. Damn fast and damn loud!

Able to go for the final day with intention to watch fellow AmBankian’s, Assassin X on the mud but the game start late in the afternoon whereas I’ve been there since morning. Too tired to wait for it.

So all pictures featured 3rd Division men’s teams and all the ladies teams. Taken with highly reliable sports lens, Nikkor 70-300mm G. Love this lens.

One of the performer of the KL Buskers’ Festival 2006 is Ayanakai from Australia. He also belong to a group named ‘The Flaming Butterflies‘.

Kelab AmBank Group sekali lagi menganjurkan pertandingan nyanyian untuk kali ke-9 dibawah nama ‘AmBagus’. Sebelumnya dikenali sebagai ‘Bakat Arab-Malaysia’, which overall sudah lebih 15 tahun ianya diadakan.

Persembahan tahun ini lebih baik dari tahun-tahun lepas, di mana saya sendiri telah hadir untuk kali ke-4. Tiada lagu-lagu lama, melankolik dan tidak popular. Kualiti vokal perserta semakin baik.

Artis jemputan tahun ini adalah Hazami dan Ning Baizura disamping pengacara AC Mizal & Shazzy Falak.

Semua gambar diambil guna Nikkor 70-300mm G, which is horrible under low light condition.
